As we come to the end of the Rotary, it is time to install our new President, Officers and Board members for the 2026-2027 year.
Our installation event occurred on June 25. Our Master of ceremonies was member Nick Lopez. First order of business was for outgoing President, Matt Drago, to wrap up his very successful term and recognize a few members for their outstanding contributions over the past year.
Next was the installation of out new President, Chip Jerry. On hand to perform the ceremony was District Governor Nominee, Kalpana Patel. Also attending was District Governor Elect Joe Nastus.
When the new President, Officers and Board were fully installed, Chip said a few words about his vision for the upcoming term. His focus will be on the club having maximum positive impact in our community.
An important and fun evening on our club calendar. Best of luck to President Chip Jerry and all the officers and Board member for a very successful new Rotary year.
Dr. Harinder Jit from the Chandigarh Midtown India Rotary club visited our club on Friday. As is a Rotary tradition, we exchanged club banners to be displayed by each club at special occasions.
Rotary is a worldwide organization so any Rotarian is welcomed at any other club on Earth, making us one very large global family, focused on service. Thanks Dr. Jit, for taking the time to join us for lunch.
Our project this past Friday was to support the Rise food pantry. Members collected 18 bags of non-perishable food to be distributed to families in need, served by Rise.
Valerie Benites, with Rise, was there to give our club an idea of their full range of community services. Those include both a food pantry and thrift store. Our club Foundation also gave grant to Rise to help extend their services to a wider range of those in need.
Our West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South Interact club, with participation from our club, collected 17 bags of clothes and donated them to the Volunteers of America. This clothing will be given to families in need, across the region.
Congratulations to the Interact club members who made this project possible. Thanks to all those who helped support this effort.
