Wayne Wyatt, the Senior Pastor of Christ Centered Church spoke to the Princeton Corridor Rotary on Friday September 25th about his journey to build a Community Organization through giving back to the community. Wayne spoke about their partnerships with Hamilton Township, particularly the Fire Stations. He also spoke about the food pantry he organized to assist community organizations such as Project Freedom, Better Community Housing of Trenton and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and to help those in the community with food insecurities.
One of our members, Mitushi Pitti, was selected as one of the artists included in a new exhibit at the West Windsor Arts Council.
The opening reception, held on September 25, was well attended with several club members on hand to honor and recognize Mitushi's accomplishment. The exhibit celebrates a folk tradition, but with a modern interpretation.
Our congratulations to Mitushi for her inclusion in this exhibit. We are proud to have her as a member and we look forward to her future successes.
The club came together at our meeting on 9/18 to assemble 200 snack bags for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). This project, lead by our member George Shenouda, continues our long-standing support of TASK.
The supplies were purchased by the club and with the help of our members, worked to create the snack bags, which will be distributed by TASK to the people they support.
Rotarians coming together to support the local community is what we do. If you are interested in joining us on an upcoming project, please reach out on our website at https://princetoncorridorrotary.org/
Our club once again helped sponsor the Dress for Success Power Walk and Wellness Festival held on 9/17. This was the second year we have participated in this event.
A bit of a rainy evening in Rosedale Park but many people came together, in good spirits, to help support a great cause.
On Friday, September 11 our speaker was the new President and CEO of the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce (PMRC), Laurence Saul. Mr. Saul is also the newest Honorary Member of our club.
Mr. Saul spoke about his journey in business which included working in leadership positions with very large companies as well as family run businesses. All of that experience lead him to the top role with the PMRC, one of the biggest chambers in New Jersey.
He also spoke about plans to insure the chamber stays in touch with the needs of its members and continue to support their businesses going forward. We wish him the best of luck in his new role.
