Our guest speaker on Friday May 3rd was Mary Heagley, VP of Advancement at Thomas Edison State University. Mary and her team identify philanthropists and funders whose values align with the University’s mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities for self-directed adults. She oversees the Advancement staff responsible for alumni relations, donor relations, foundation grants, planned giving, database management and gift reporting, and major gifts.
Our speaker on May 10 was West Windsor Chief Of Police and Honorary club member Robert Garofalo. The Chief is a frequent visitor and always interesting and informative.
The Chief gave us updates on the activities of the WW Police as well as insights into the challenges they face. Not the least of which is identifying and hiring good people to fill vacant positions.
Instead of weakening standards, the WW Police have made the decision to not lower standards but hire more slowly, but with the right people.
Thanks to Chief Garofalo for visiting us and sharing his experience and insights.
The Princeton Corridor Rotary Club’s speaker last Friday May 17 was Marcia Shackelford, Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Princeton Area Community Foundation.
